A New Year & A New Challenge!
Why not get your year off to the best start and sign up to one of the longstanding races on the Cork Running calendar. The 36th running of this 5-mile race will be on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 11 AM.
This is a classic racing route which lends itself to some exciting battles.
With a generous array of prizes and a course bonus included, it's easy to see why it attracts so many runners.
Last year’s race saw incredible performances, with John Meade St. Finbarr’s A.C winning first place in the men’s category with a remarkable time of 26:49. In the women’s category, Hannah Steeds of Leevale A.C. claimed the top spot with an impressive time of 28:47.
This is a race for everyone, and our Eagle AC stewards will be dotted along the race route to encourage you all the way. The impressive Eagle AC ‘post-race spread’ will be served in the Carrigaline Community Hall when the miles have been run.
Race entry this year will be €18, and the race profits will once again be split equally between two incredibly valued local charities. With no winners of the course bonuses last year our Charity Partners were the real winners. 2024 race profits amounted to €1,400 supporting Carrigaline Meals on Wheels in their vital work and helping 6 young people to achieve their Bronze Gaisce award in association with the Foróige Youth Diversion Project.
